I lived in Albuquerque for going on twenty years at various times since 1983 up to now. I graduated from Highland High School and the University of New Mexico with a degree in Electrical Engineering. I became an Air Force pilot and left the state while on active duty for almost ten years. I moved back in 2012 to start a drone business doing flying camera shots for the movie and TV productions out here. I currently serve as an Air Force reservist doing planning for the joint staff out in Virginia. I am also an Airline Pilot working for a freight carrier. When not on military duty or flying, I reside currently at the Imperial building.
Since moving back, I have lived in the downtown core or its immediate surrounding neighborhoods, of Barales and the EDO. I lived in the immediate downtown core since 2014 at 6th and Silver. As of October of last year I move into the Imperial.
My goals with the SPNA will be to continue the current efforts to bolster the downtown core. Keeping remaining businesses and trying to create an environment for new businesses. The main priority will be to work with everyone in the community, both business owners and the residents in the area to enhance the safety of the downtown area. Community engagement is how we do this by having a big voice to hold city hall accountable. We need to let them know that we as community pay attention to what is going on and that we expect results to things in their control. We will build up the association by adding more residents and business owners to have a common voice with the more pressing matters in the city. RC has been doing a good job and my goal will be to keep the momentum going.
